Glen Rice
Criminal Defense Attorney Everett WA.
Glen Rice is a native of the Pacific Northwest. Growing up in North Seattle, he had an interest in the legal system from a young age, publishing a zine about the intersection of music and the criminal justice system. Following high school, Glen attended Pitzer College in Claremont, California, where he received a B.A. in Sociology. During college, Glen volunteered at Camp Afflerbaugh-Paige, a juvenile detention center, where he worked with incarcerated youth on a variety of scholastic programs.
After college, Glen returned to Seattle, where he worked in the bicycle industry before attending law school at Seattle University School of Law. During law school, Glen worked for the Federal Public Defender of Alaska and the State of Alaska Public Defender Agency. After graduating law school cum laude, Glen accepted a position with the Public Defender Agency and worked in the cities of Kenai, Anchorage, Homer, and Glenallen, where he handled misdemeanor and felony cases.
Glen met his wife, Stacey, in 2018, and decided to return home to Washington State. He began a clerkship for the Honorable Judge David A. Kurtz on the Snohomish County Superior Court while he waited for his Washington law license. Glen clerked for Judge Kurtz until 2020 when he accepted a position with the Snohomish County Public Defender Association.
During his time at the Snohomish County Public Defender Association, Glen handled misdemeanor and felony trials; supervised interns; and completed multiple jury trials as a solo attorney and as co-counsel.
Glen left the Snohomish County Public Defender Association in May of 2025 to start Rice O’Neal PLLC alongside Robert O’Neal.
In his own words:
“I see myself as a problem solver and a story teller. My work as an attorney is to solve my client’s problems; to do so, I use all of my skills and experience to fiercely litigate cases in the pre-trial stage, and then, at trial, to present their defense in such a way as to convince judges, juries, and other attorneys of the correctness of our position. It’s an honor to do this work and I feel honored to have clients trust me with their legal issues.”
